Lovely when marinated and fried, like tofu somewhat!

This was a gift for my daughter and her husband. They said it was absolutely delicious.

We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was delicious and versatile. We cooked it in a very basic way, dry fried , squished with potato masher to flatten it a bit, then added butter, mushroom stock cube garlic clove and teaspoon of marmite. Nice taste and nice texture. Enough in box for generous meal for 3-4 people.

I shared my mushrooms with a couple of friends. All of us really enjoyed them. Fabulous taste and texture.

Very unusual looking mushrooms. Found a recipe on line and they are definitely our favourite mushrooms.
